Vaccination figures cross 19 crore mark in India and Maharashtra is on top

India’s collective immunization coverage has crossed the 19-crore mark and almost 10 states have contributed for more than 66% of the vaccine doses as the daily positivity rate has declined to 12.59%. Less than 3 lakh daily new coronavirus cases were reported for 5 consecutive days.

As per the health ministry, Maharashtra tops the list with 10.6% vaccine doses that comes to 2,04,65,193, and is followed by 1,58,13,654 (8.24%) vaccine doses in Uttar Pradesh and 1,57,08,235 vaccine doses (8.19%) in Rajasthan. 

The other seven states are Gujarat (7.91%), Karnataka (6.15%), West Bengal (6.74%), Madhya Pradesh (4.97%), Kerala (4.48%), Bihar (4.88%) and Andhra Pradesh (4.09%).
